Therefore there are regulatory floodplains that are not mapped but are covered by the text of the regulation. The data currently includes both This feature class depicts floodplains regulated by the Authority as the Riverine Flood Hazard under the Generic Regulation of the Conservation Authorities Act (Ontario Regulation 97/04). regulatory floodplains, and advisory floodplains. This dataset was developed by creating polygons from the polyline geometry of the flood lines in the Authority's Riverine Floodplain Mapping database.
